More About Me

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always wanted to be a writer, but when I was younger I felt that I hadn’t lived enough to write yet. Add that to family pressure to succeed in a more traditional fashion, and I ended up becoming a professional accountant.

I never forgot my dreams. And for a decade I tried to balance a double life to the best of my ability: logic by day, creativity by night. But that lifestyle was killing me slowly. I was chronically running on just a few hours of sleep every night. I got tired of networking with people then never having the time to create anything substantial to send to them. I had mountains of notes written in shorthand I’d never gotten around to typing out and expanding on. Meanwhile, my accounting ability kept taking me to higher management positions, thus demanding even more of my time and energy.

Finally, as of October 21, 2010, I’ve found the courage to resign from my position as a Controller, and give myself the chance to really WRITE.

The Economics of Love is a project near and dear to my heart. It started out as a way to memorize school work at university, and eventually helped me find the love of my life. Now I want to share it with you.
